Twenty-eight centuries in six days
Rome is an open-air museum that happens to serve extraordinary food. Our six-day route pairs the great icons — the Colosseum underground chambers, an early Vatican entry, the Pantheon at opening time — with the Rome locals love: a bike ride down the ancient Appian Way, aperitivo in Testaccio and sunset from the Orange Garden.
Your guide is a licensed Roman art historian who times every visit to dodge the crowds and brings two millennia of gossip, emperors and artists back to life.
